Josie doesn't mean to cut her sister off, but she couldn't help it. She's a teenage girl. When a teenage girl sees something cute and cuddly being terrorized by a hellbeast, they need to leap into action. So she will absolutely get back to what Lizzie was saying, after they managed to rescue what will eventually be their new fuzzy friends.
"Don't eat that!"
Yes, Josette, because telling the hellbeast what to eat and what not to is incredibly effective.
Lizzie huffs in annoyance as whatever rant she was going off on was cut off, but then she sees what got Josie's attention. They're so cute. And defenseless. She calls out a spell, putting her hand up to literally freeze the hellbeast.
"That sound buy us some time to get them out of here."
The minions freeze in their tracks, just inside the safety of the barrier spell. They seem to be glancing between the the witches and the hellbeast, almost confused.
Josie crouches down, gesturing for them to come closer. "It's okay. We'll keep you safe."
Should they be keeping them safe? Is this a Stitch kind of situation? The world may never known but Josie is going to treat them under the rules of cute = good for now.
Lizzie bends down to scoop one up, leaving the other to Josie to retrieve. They seem pretty defenseless and maybe that's misleading, but they're so cute, they have to do something.
"Come on Merry and Pippin, you're coming with us."
What? They're small, like Hobbits, and Landon is already Frodo so she can't use Sam and Frodo.
Merry and Pippin are A+ names, the narration approves. And so does Josie, even though she's not going to seriously consider it until they've all made their way to safety. Josie scoops up her minion, before starting to back towards the hotel.
"Do you think it will follow us inside?"
Maybe they should find somewhere else to hide out until it gets bored.
Josie nods for a second, before reaching out and pulling some magic off one of the nearby buildings. Then she reaches over and places a hand on her sister's arm to keep her in the bubble.
"Invisique."
Not warded, necessarily, but if the hellbeast can't see them, maybe it won't follow them.
It seems to do the trick, the hellbeast sniffs the air in confusion, as if it can still smell them, but it can't see them so it gives up and heads in the opposite direction, giving them time to make it back into their room with their new little friends.
Josie lets off a sigh of relief when they're not followed, but she doesn't lift the spell until they are safely back in their room. Just in case. Who knows, maybe they're not supposed to have pets.
Not that these guys are pets.
Either way, they become visible again, and Josie sets her minion down on the couch. "It's okay. You'll be safe here."
The minions already seem enchanted with the twins. It's a bit like saving their lives had already made them decide that they were going to say. They also seem completely unafraid, like they've already forgotten the hellbeast threat.
Josie raises her eyebrows at that because she doesn't know if they can keep them. And she doesn't feel like they should make that decision without consulting the minions. They seem sentient enough that they should be consulted.
They're so cute, honestly, how can she say no? They just need to figure out what the care and keeping of minions entails and they'll be good to go. Also, keeping them away from the hellbeasts. She goes to sit down next to them, before tipping her head to the side.
It's not like they come with an instruction manual. They can't even google it like they could with an animal back home. But they'll figure it out. She believes in them.
She peers over her shoulder before heading into the kitchen, gathering a few snack options and spreading them out on a plate before offering it to the minions. They seem smart enough - they should know what things are bad for them, right?
"What do you think, guys? Any of these look good?"
One of the two little minions toddles over to the plate, going for a little hunk of cheese. It takes a bite before grinning happily, making a little squeal.
It's adorable.
"I think he - she -- they like it" She can't really tell their gender, so gender neutral is the way to go.
"Yep. We can have a whole trial and error period."
These girls are going to spoil these minions so much, and it may not be for the best, but it will make both them and the minions happy, so that's what matters, right?
"How long do you think they'll be here?" Sometimes things disappear over time, sometimes they don't. It's hard to tell what these will end up being.
It could be the one nice thing Hell ever does for them. If Josie had known it was a sign, she might have been more prepared for what was coming in a few weeks.

Yeah, they probably need to make their way to safety before final name decisions are made and everything.
"Couldn't we put up wards so it couldn't?"
Or they could find someplace to hide too, she supposes.

Technically, Lizzie already has her pet fish she won at the carnival....but these guys were a little more than fish.
Lizzie sets hers down next to the other one on the couch, sitting down on the floor so she's at their level.
"We won't let anything hurt you. We may not be the full super squad, but we're enough."

The little minions jump and down making little noises, as if to indicate that yes, they want to stay.
Lizzie claps her hand in delight. "Then it's decided." Right...she should...consult her sister. She looks over at Josie.
"If that's okay with you?"

"I mean, I'm good with that if you are."
Slowly but surely Lizzie has felt more comfortable letting her nerd side out.

It makes more sense than anything Josie would come up with, and they don't seem to be able to tell them their own names.

Look, things in hell have been rough, they and the minions deserve this. Or at least, that's what Lizzie thinks anyway.
"I don't know. I hope they stay." She's already feeling kinda attached -- she'd rather not lose them.
